Hello March!!
This little monthly recap is going to be short and sweet, because I'm playing catch up on all things life/work after a week off, but I didn't want to miss my favorite Currently Link Up with Anne!
February Things: We kicked off February with one last week in Louisiana and a visit from my bestie! Spent the weekend in NOLA and meeting gators on a bayou tour. After a month in Louisiana, we have been staying at my mom's place in TN so that we had a place to store the camper while we flew to Colorado. It's been a month of lazy days, time with family (including a fun 50th celebration, a night in Knoxville celebrating the birth of my cousin with his grandpa and dad, and chats over drinks). We then closed out the month with a great week of skiing and snowmobiling (our first time and HIGHLY recommended) in Breckenridge with my sister and her bf.
{imagining} what it might be like to live somewhere that it snows for an entire season! We just returned from a week in Breckenridge. Skiing everyday was wonderful and I think I would love the ability to ski afterwork or on the weekends, but I am not sure about snow shoveling or feeling cooped up in my house unless I was layered and ready to brave the elements all the time. This Florida girl just can't really imagine it clearly.
{making} allllll. the. smoothies! After taking a break from our 80/20 balance we had been trying to maintain and going ham on all the amazing food & drinks Breckenridge had to offer we are glad to be back to a more sustainable balance. I joined Arbonne a few months ago after buying direct from a friend and being super skeptical when I started out, but this week showed me just how helpful everything we have been doing has been for our bodies. Indulging in all the foodie goodness was amazing, but my body was feeling the effects by the end of the week. I figured it was time to start sharing my journey with the world. I'm still learning myself, but if you have any questions I am happy help.
{recommending} all of my TRIED, TESTED, & RECOMMENDED finds over on my Amazon Storefront. These are things I have gotten and loved from Amazon over the years. If you are looking for a cute suit for swimsuit season my favorite tummy control one-piece is still such a hit that I bought a second one!
{wearing} do pajamas count? I haven't left the house since we got back from Colorado and I don't plan to anytime soon! Working my way through my to-do list in the same clothes I slept in.
{choosing} the next show we're going to watch. Any recommendations? We are currently finishing up Yellowstone. It is pretty intense for me and I sometimes let Babe watch it solo and then report what I missed. I would love something a little more lighthearted and less realistic, because I am pretty sure some of that craziness actually happens out there. Sure it's dramatized, but people can be cutthroat. Give me something where at the end of the day we all just get along! Typing this makes me think I should just rewatch Gilmore Girls- haha.
That's it for now!
What's going on in your world right now?
Pajamas definitely counts, actually it's the same dresscode i have on a dily bases ahha
ReplyDeletehaha, glad to know I'm not alone!
DeleteOh wow, it sounds like a busy month for you. I am obsessed with making smoothies too right now!!
ReplyDeleteSmoothie sisters!
DeleteI can assure you that shoveling and being cooped up inside unless you want to put on 2 pairs of pants to be warm enough outside definitely do get old....
ReplyDeleteHave you watched Ted Lasso yet? I couldn't get over how much I loved it, and I can't stop recommending it. Not stressful to watch at all - definitely put a smile on my face.
haha, I bet... and no, but you are now the second person to recommend it. May have to be our next one! Will definitely be a nice change. Thanks
DeleteSounds like you had a great month! Feb for me was slow.
ReplyDeleteIt was really nice! Slow is also nice too though and I am hoping for more of that this month.
DeleteGosh, I miss skiing! Looks like a wonderful month!
ReplyDeleteWe hadn't been in three years so it was nice to get back on the slopes.
DeleteI laughed at your imagining part because I live in a place where it snows for at least 8 months a year! All I can say is that it gets a bit annoying after the first 5 months of snow. Haha. Breckenridge is such a great little town. I have only been there once probably close to 20 years ago. I imagine it is probably a bit different now but it was an adorable tourist city, for sure! Thanks for sharing and linking with me.

Haha- I bet it does. I also bet Breckinridge really hasn't changed much since you've been there. It still looks like it did in pictures from decades ago. New establishments behind the walls in some places, but we ate at two spots that had been there almost 100 years. Really neat town for sure!
